Meet Janelle Moore

Birth and Postpartum Doula

Hi! I'm Janelle, labor and postpartum doula serving family's East and West Valley. I love a good road trip, and will occasionally travel too! An Arizonan since early childhood, I am in love with our Superstition mountains and the desert beauty around. Nature has my heart and you will often find me in it hiking, reading or worshipping with my guitar. I knew from very young that it's my call in life to serve others, and this has been a journey that has taken me around the world and back working through the years with children and adults in varying capacities. Each leg of that journey's been a blessed adventure that I wouldn't take back for a moment! When not at a birth, preparing for birth or studying birth I'll typically be found working with kids, hiking, reading or learning to worship with my guitar.
I fell into birthwork early 2023 while supporting a loved one in their delivery. Walking one crazy season in life, this loved one of mine found a strength deep within. She'd done her research, she'd faced her fears, she stood strong, but no matter how strong you are it is my firm belief that every woman and every couple deserve a pillar to lean on, and I was asked to be there for that. I found myself honored to support my niece's parents in their journey that day, and as I spoke with nurses in the room I found a fire lit inside to grow and deepen the passion discovered then that's blossomed into birth work now.

While tailoring doula care to the individual needs of each family, it is my heart and joy to meet each family where they are at, offering support emotionally and physically. As a birth doula I emphasize preparing mom and dad as a team, birth plan support, evidence based education, advocacy and empowerment. I hold space for you. For your heart, for your vision, for your needs in each moment. My heart in every pregnancy journey that I support and in every birth room that I enter is to set and hold an atmosphere of dignity, strength and peace. An atmosphere where mom and dad are honored, supported, encouraged and educated in every way as they welcome their littlest into the world. I join couples in their journey to welcoming little one at any point that they'd like to bring me in. Whether you just learned last week that little one is on the way, or are expecting two weeks from now and realize you'd like that extra support, I am here to walk alongside where you are at. I partner with couples in pregnancy through prenatal appointments focused on preparation, education and emotional support, as well as texting and phone support along the way. I provide constant support as much as you may need through labor to birth and remain 1-2 hrs postpartum, or until you feel settled. We'll meet for one or more postpartum visits along the way as I continue to be available throughout the first month with resources, education and emotional support. As a postpartum doula, again, care is always tailored to each family's needs bringing support both emotionally and physically. This sometimes is a listening ear, breakfast in bed and gentle foot rub for mom, while other times it is caring for baby overnight as mom and dad sleep a little deeper knowing that their little one is watched and safe while they rest. Whether providing care day or night, I am always glad and available to assist in every way that I can with light housekeeping, dishes, laundry, extra love and time for older siblings, or even prepping a meal into the crock pot for later.

Always, I believe that life is precious, a gift to be cherished, and that God's plans and purpose for each person are good. In this it is an honor to me to step alongside every mother and couple each in their journey, and I look forward to an opportunity to chat with you in yours.

Why I got into birthwork:

My heart is to see mothers empowered daily with the strength, support and educational resource that they deserve as they and their family prepare to welcome their newest into the world.
